ABOUT SCARLET MACAW BIRDS
SCARLET MACAW FOR SALE
About Scarlet macaws
Scarlet macaw's are incredibly beautiful with their bright yellow bands on each wing, combined with the red coloring on the body and upper wings and then the purple blue on the lower wings, creating an amazing contrast.
Scarlet Macaws are sometimes confused with Green-wing Macaws because both are mainly red, but this is often their only similarity. There are many differences in the appearance and temperament of these two macaws. The Scarlet Macaw is characterized by a band of yellow feathers in the middle of its wings, while the Red Macaw is characterized by a band of green feathers in the middle of its wings. The Scarlet Macaw is characterized by a band of naked feathers on its face, which is why the Scarlet Macaw has lines of red feathers on its face.
Scarlet macaws typically have a completely different temperament than blue and gold or green wings. The Scarlet has a reputation for being prickly and tends to be more tense and sensitive to quick movements than the great contrasts in Macaw, which does not necessarily detract from the Scarlet's qualification as a pet. It is important never to react to a pinch or nip with aggressiveness towards the bird, as this will frighten a young Scarlet and eventually result in an aggressive bird.
Macaws are brightly colored, large to medium-sized parrots. By decorating the feathers of these amazing birds, nature has run amok in creating these dynamic and beautiful color combinations. These large, muscular birds have a strong beak that earns them some respect, and all species of macaws are very intelligent. The macaw species include large and mini macaws, and some hybrid macaws have also been bred in captivity.
Although macaws, especially large macaws, have a huge presence and impressive beaks, they are very smart. These magnificent birds display exquisite control by using their powerful beaks selectively and with delicacy. They are able to interact with their keepers on many levels and learn tricks quickly. Many macaw species are not only wonderful pets but also excellent show birds. The calls of macaws are strong, but for some of them this can translate well to their ability to speak.
Blue and gold macaw for sale
Also known as the blue and yellow stick, hand-fed chicks are wonderful bird companions! They are playful, funny, mischievous, extremely intelligent, and the adorable Blue and Gold Macaws have the ability to speak quite well. However, they don't imitate human voices as much as the African Grey's and Amazons in tone and voice - they have their own unique voices and are not afraid to use them!
If the appropriate nutritional requirements in a breeding environment are taken into account, the Blue Macaw can reach a life span of 60-80 years. With a length of 32 to 34 centimetres, the blue winged macaw needs the largest possible cage to stay happy and healthy. We recommend the Kings model 506 cage, which has plenty of room to play and flap its wings to keep boredom in the cage at bay.
Your macaw should spend a lot of time outside his cage every day.We have a wide range of games that allow your bird to have fun for hours outside his cage.

Anatomy
Macaws are the largest parrots in the world -- the body of the scarlet macaw from beak to tail can be as long as 33 inches. This beautiful macaw has a creamy white, almost featherless face, with bright red plumage covering most of its body, wings and long tail. Brilliant blue and yellow feathers also adorn the lower wings. The bird's strong beak is adapted to breaking hard nuts found in the rainforest.
Habitat
The scarlet macaw can be found from southern Mexico to Peru, as well as Bolivia, eastern Brazil and the island of Trinidad. They prefer to spend their time in tall, deciduous trees in forests and near rivers, usually in large, noisy groups. Macaws also mate for life, nesting from January through April in the holes of dead canopy trees. Mated adults lay up to two eggs per year, and preen each other and their offspring for hours, cleaning bugs from their feathers.
Diet
Nuts, leaves, berries and seeds from the rainforest make up the bulk of the scarlet macaw’s diet. Its strong, hooked beak is perfect for breaking nuts and seeds. Interestingly, the scarlet macaw can eat fruits toxic enough to kill other animals. This could be because they also eat large amounts of clay, which is thought to neutralize plant poisons.
